Minneapolis, MN – Northstar Capital (“Northstar”), a committed financing partner to private equity sponsors in the lower middle market, is proud to announce the final close of its latest parallel fund strategy, comprised of Northstar Mezzanine Partners VIII L.P. (NMP VIII) and Northstar Mezzanine Partners SBIC II L.P. (NMP SBIC II). Together, the funds represent $530 million in committed capital dedicated to fueling the growth of small businesses nationwide.

The current raise exceeded the predecessor parallel funds, NMP VII and NMP SBIC, which totaled $500 million in commitments. NMP SBIC II also marks Northstar’s second fund licensed as a Small Business Investment Company (“SBIC”) by the U.S. Small Business Administration. To date, Northstar has completed 14 platform investments across NMP VIII and NMP SBIC II, highlighting the favorable environment for Northstar’s investment approach.
