Northstar Capital Celebrates Summer 2025 Interns
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Northstar Capital (“Northstar”), a provider of junior capital for middle market private equity transactions, is pleased to recognize the achievements and contributions of our summer 2025 interns – Eric Jensen and Monica Beutz.
Northstar’s summer internship program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to private credit investing by working alongside the firm’s investment professionals. This summer, Eric and Monica made meaningful contributions across research, deal evaluation, and portfolio support. Learn more about each of our summer 2025 interns below:
Eric Jensen
Eric is a rising junior at the University of Iowa, majoring in Finance with a minor in Spanish. On campus, he serves as Co-President of HawkTrade, the university’s investment club, and is actively involved in the Hawkinson Institute and Story Lab. After graduation, Eric plans to pursue a career in investment banking.
Monica Beutz
Monica is an upcoming junior at Texas Christian University, where she is majoring in Economics and Finance. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, the Economics Club, and the TCU Women’s Crew Team. Following graduation, Monica plans to pursue a career in investment banking or private equity.
About the Northstar Internship Program
Established in 2017, Northstar’s internship program has served as a training ground for more than a dozen aspiring finance professionals. The program offers an immersive experience, giving interns a seat at the table with seasoned professionals and hands-on exposure to every step of the private credit investment process. Alumni have gone on to impactful roles in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, and corporate development at firms such as Lincoln International, Piper Sandler, Bain & Company, Blackstone, PwC, and Cowen.
Northstar also participates in the Small Business Investing Scholars program, which promotes diversity and inclusion within the SBIC industry. The firm takes pride in the success of its alumni and remains committed to building the next generation of finance leaders while continuing to expand its internship alumni network.
